HOLY ROSARY SCHOOL
NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 4 | 24 FEBRUARY 2023

Flying through the numbers on the whisper phones is a fun way to practise reading our numbers!

Hi Everyone,
Thank you to everyone who joined us at mass on Wednesday. It was lovely to see you. Michelle and the choir did a lovely job of leading us. Thank you to Father Peter for being so welcoming and accommodating. We really appreciate your kindness and understanding.
Next week Friday marks our first assembly for the year. It will be led by our Year 5 Gang! Names of Merit Award recipients can be found in this newsletter. We hope to see loads of people there!
‘A big night tonight! Rose and her team have done a lot of work to prepare for tonight’s Sundowner. Let the fun begin!!!!

Covid
Smart Watches
Some children have these. If your child wears one to school please ensure it is set to ‘school’ mode, as all messages/calls go through Sharon in our office in order that we are across what is taking place. Thank you.
School Fees
All School Fee Statements were emailed out to families last week. If you did not receive it, please contact the office or email hrsfinance@cewa.edu.au. A reminder that the Payment Option Form is required to be completed and returned by Tuesday 28 February.

Assembly Friday 3 March

Project Compassion
Earlier this week the eldest child in each family would have brought home a Project Compassion collection box. Donations can be placed in this box in support of Caritas Australia and returned to school by Monday 3 April.
This year's Project Compassion theme is 'For All Future Generations'. This message invites us to step up for those who do not have the essential resources they need for their survival and those whose needs at this time are far beyond ours. By putting compassion into action, we can make a difference today, 'For All Future Generations'.
Making Jesus Real
Our MJR award winner for this week is Benji R from 1C. He is recognised for displaying the MJR values at Holy Rosary on a daily basis. He displayed kindness and compassion to those around him. Congratulations!!

Easter is our focus in library, and reading “The Thick Fat Pancake” had everyone in fits of laughter. Year 1 to 3’s have signed up for the Junior Chess Tournament which will start in the next 2 weeks. Year 5’s can sign up for Book Club next week, and of course Numero is proving a huge hit on Friday mornings before school with Mr Scutti. Have a lovely weekend.
