International Dot Day 2017
An idea sparked by The Dot, a book by Peter H. Reynolds
Tell me about The Dot
The Dot is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing, which has gone on to inspire countless children and adults around the globe.

What is International Dot Day?
On (or around) Sept. 15, set aside some time to join educators around the world in recognizing the powerful message of The Dot.
Read the book, watch the YouTube, do an art project, discuss the theme-- go big or go small, it doesn't matter. But the message of Dot Day will be a thead you can weave through your whole school year. Watch the video below and you will understand!
