Remember the Alamo!

A Google Hangout on Air Event!

Mark your calendars!

As 4th grade students in Texas are studying the Battle of the Alamo, we have a unique opportunity to allow them to experience some of the information and artifacts through a virtual field trip with the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Library.

Alamo GHO Backchannel Through TodaysMeet

Students will be encouraged to ask questions to the DRT Librarians about their presentation. However, we will use a TodaysMeet back channel to filter the questions that they will answer during the Question and Answer time.

Please use https://todaysmeet.com/alamogho for student questions.

Backchannel Guidelines:

  1. Teachers and Librarians, please have student access to the TodaysMeet available during the GHO.
  2. I suggest already having the back channel pulled up on some computers.
  3. Have all logged in as your school name. (Ex: Borchardt Elementary)
  4. Have teachers posted at the computers to filter the questions posted to ensure they follow the norms.
  5. The DRT Librarians will try and answer all the questions. If not during the GHO, then after.
