Weekly Update-Volume V Issue 34

Prom

Thanks to Mrs. Duncan, Mrs. Overton, Mrs. Forbes, and anyone else who helped make the prom a memorable night for our students!

Ag. Day

Great job Mrs. Schratwieser, Mr. Sorrell, and your students for hosting Ag. Day at Grandy Primary School. Our FFA students did an outstanding job explaining the importance of agriculture to our elementary students.

Help Our Band Win a $4,000 Tuba

The Tuba Exchange, a music store based out of NC that specializes in Tubas recently held a video contest and our school is a finalist. The video that receives the most likes of Facebook wins a $4,000 tuba. All we need is for you (AND EVERYONE YOU KNOW) to go to the Tuba Exchange Facebook page, find our video (Video Promo for Camden High School Band) and like the video. You must like the video on their page (not as a share or YouTube but directly from the link below).

Suicide Awareness Video

The video below was created by our National Honor Society to bring awareness to the issue of suicide. I would like to have a school-wide viewing of this video with your second period classes immediately following announcements on Wednesday, April 29. The video sends a powerful message and is about two minutes long.

“What the Best North Carolina Teachers Do” Video Series

Want insight into the strategies and techniques that award-winning North Carolina teachers use in their classrooms? The video series, “What the Best North Carolina Teachers Do,” provides you with these insights, straight from the teachers themselves. District, regional and state Teachers of the Year were asked about what makes them successful and their students soar. The videos can be found at the following link: http://rt3nc.org/ncvideo/
