TVMS News
November 4, 2023
Greetings TVMS community,
This week has been filled with memorable moments and positive experiences for our students, and we have some important upcoming events to share with you.
Quarter 1 Celebration and Fall Dance Success
On Tuesday, we had our End of Quarter PRIDE day celebration. Our students had a wonderful time participating in a wide range of clubs, exploring their interests and making new friends.
Friday night our students enjoyed a Fantastic Fall Dance. It was a memorable evening filled with music, laughter and dancing. Thank you to our awesome parent and staff chaperones that helped make this event a success. We believe that extracurricular activities are a valuable part of a well-rounded education, and we’re thrilled to see our students engaged and enthusiastic about them.
Report Card Release
You can expect to see your child’s report card for the first quarter on Canvas, starting November 8th. We encourage you to take a moment to review their progress and discuss their achievements with them.
American Education Week (November 13-17)
American Education Week is just around the corner taking place from November 13th to November 17th. This is a special time to emphasize the value of a quality education and highlight the essential collaboration between teachers, parents, and the community to ensure the success of our students. We invite parents to join their child for a day in the life of a middle schooler, gaining a deeper understanding of their daily experiences. More information about this week will be shared soon. Please note that this is not a time for individual conferences.
Fall Parent-Teacher Conference Sign Up
Our fall parent-teacher conference schedule opens to all families at 8:00 AM on Monday, November 6. We’ve provided instructions below on how to sign up for conferences.
These events provide valuable opportunities to strengthen our community and support our students’ growth and success. Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to another fantastic quarter at TVMS.

Our Guiding Good Choices parenting classes can equip parents and/or grandparents with the knowledge and skills to reduce the risk that their children will use drugs and alcohol or engage in other dangerous behaviors. These classes are for families with children 9 - 14 yrs. old and held over Zoom.
