Connect2Careers on Campus Workshops


Learn the skills it takes to land your first (or next) job. C2C is hosting Monday morning events on campus in the Career Center, and all students are invited. This is a chance to build/update a resume, create an elevator pitch, level up interview skills, and meet one-on-one with a peer job coach who can answer job search questions and help get the application process.

COUNSELING INFORMATION

  • If you are needing to change classes for the upcoming spring term, please request changes through the Class Scheduling page on the Counseling page of the school website. The window will open Monday, December 3rd.
  • The Palomar Promise application is now available. Palomar limits the number of applicants. APPLY NOW!
  • Students should come hang out, play games, and listen to music with PLUS Beach Chair Monday on December 3rd during lunch near the 900 wing.
  • Mr. Bennett will be on campus Tuesday, December 11th, during lunch. For those who do not meet with him then, he will be back on Wednesday, December 12th concerning internships. Watch for your summons.

INFORMATION REGARDING TUTORING

PACK Tutoring

The PACK after school tutoring program will begin on October 9th. Students seeking additional academic support are welcome to attend Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the Library. Busing to the E. Vista Way/Arcadia stop will be available to students with a current VUSD bus pass. (Thank you to the Timberwolves Foundation for making the busing possible!)

SCHOOL TOURS FOR INTERESTED INCOMING STUDENTS

If you have friends or family who are interested in applying to MVHS for the 2019-2020 school year, please share our school tour dates. As in previous years, we will meet in the library at 4pm for a 30-minute presentation by administration, followed by a 1 hour school tour led by our Student Ambassadors. PTSA INFORMATION

MVHS Holiday Ornaments are now on sale! For $10, you can have a white keepsake ornament with the school's logo on it in Mission Vista green. These unbreakable ornaments make a great teacher gift, too! To request one, please email mvhs.ptsa.president@gmail.com and we'll make arrangements for payment and pickup.


There is an opportunity to earn Community Service hours and get in the holiday spirit on December 10 from 5-7:30pm at Winterfest at Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. Help is needed in all areas. Please email shiloh.strawbridge@gmail.com to sign up or learn more information.
