Located in New South Wales, the Hunter Valley is part of the Hunter Region which extends from 120km to approximately 310km north of Sydney.
What is it?
Hunter Valley is a place known for wine.There is lots of space there for hotels.There are lots of grape vines growing in Hunter Valley.It has lots of dusty red dirt and it is in the bush.

It contains the Hunter River and its tributaries with highland areas to the north and south. Situated at the northern end of the Sydney Basin bioregion, the Hunter Valley is one of the largest river valleys on the NSW coast, and is most commonly known for its wineries and coal industry.
Why would you go there?
To visit the Hunter Valley Gardens, go to the wineries or visit the Hunter Valley zoo. It's a nice relaxing place for families to go and have a break.
What would you see there?
You would see grape vines,Kangaroos,horses,sheep and bushland.
What would you do there?
Go to the hunter valley gardens,visit all the animals at the zoo,play putt putt,play aqua golf,adults can visit the wineries and have a nice lunch. Go on a hot air balloon ride.

There are three named subregions in the Hunter region. These are the Upper Hunter Valley, Broke Fordwich and Pokolbin subregions
