Cougar Catch Mid-week Edition 9/3
Jake Jorgenson, Principal at Millburn Middle School
Use Caution at Drop Off / Pick Up
Please make sure that you are being a cautious driver when entering and leaving Millburn Middle School. We had a close situation with a student crossing in the crosswalk while a parent pulled through. Pedestrians always have the right of way.
Drivers need to be paying close attention around them during these active pick up and drop off times. Thank you for all of your efforts to help keep our area safe.
We will be adding cones to our athletic pick up space to help raise awareness and caution.
Spirit Wear on Early Release Days

Bears vs. Packers Thursday
Student Council Elections for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade
We are planning to elect officers from each of the grades to serve as the core group for our activities and annual projects.
Any student interested in running for president, vice president, or secretary should talk with either Mrs. Kowal or Mrs. McGill by the end of the day on Wednesday, Sept. 4 about planning a campaign and learning officer expectations.
These should be students who are available on Thursday afternoons and who are willing to oversee gathering information from and giving information to their entire grade.
We hope to have posters up by next Thursday or Friday and hold elections on Thursday, Sept. 12. We will hold our first meeting on Sept. 12 after school in room 2023 - 3:15-4:15. Students will need to have a ride home that day but will be able to ride the activity bus after that date.
KEEP IN MIND…
All interested students may join student council and do not have to run for an office to be a member. Everyone is welcome to attend, even if attendance is interrupted by a sport or other activity from time to time.
