Welcome to Clear Fork Middle School...
Welcome to the Middle School Newsletter! It will provide information about the upcoming year and upcoming school events.
A Note From the Principal...
State Testing is upon us and we want to make sure everyone is prepared for the ELA, Math, and Science Assessments that will be administered in April and May.
April 6 Will be Part one of the ELA Test and April 8th will be Part 2 of the test for all middle school students. Face-to-Face Learners and learners with testing accommodations provided in a 504 or IEP will start testing at 7:40am. Remote students will need to be dropped off at the school between 8am and 8:15am and will begin their testing at 8:20am. Remote Learners should enter the middle school doors and will have their temperature taken before reporting to the middle school gym for their test. Remote students will be ready to be picked up at 10:30am. Student pick up will be at the side doors of the middle school. Please drive around the back of the school to get in the pick up line. This is the same procedure as the pick up at the end of the day.
All students need to make sure their Chromebooks are charged and bring both earbuds and two sharpened pencils with them to the test. Please make sure that students get a good nights sleep. Don't forget the students can get a free breakfast at the school before the test!
The State Math Assessment for all middle school students has been moved to May 4th and the 8th Grade Science Assessment will be May 6th. Testing these days will start at the same time. Both Parts 1 and 2 will be given on the same day since these tests are shorter than the ELA tests.
Any questions about testing can be directed to your child's homeroom teacher or to Mrs. Klaus and Mr. Pore.
Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jennifer Klaus
AR Points and Read Along
Mrs. Cooperrider is starting her 5th read along for the year after spring break! Students can join the read along at anytime. Previous books lessons, chapters and read alongs are posted on google classroom. We ask that the student get a copy of the book from the school library and they follow along as Mrs. Cooperrider reads the book. Students may test on the book for AR points regardless of their reading level or grade level. Please see the picture below for more information!
