The Fed's main purposes is to regulate the nation's economy, supervise banks, supply currency to reserve banks, and oversee the development and function of the nations payment system. The Fed is run by a board of govorners. These governors are nominated by the president and approved by the senate, they serve a term of 14 years. The U.S. is divided into 12 districts. Each district has someone who is in charge of them and a District Bank. The FOMC, or Federal Open Market Economy, regulates the amount of money and credit in the economy.

The Bureau of Engraving & Printing also plays an important role in our nation's economy. It is located in Washington D.C.They are in charge of printing the paper currency and postage stamps. The U.S. mint Produces coins. They opperate in facilities all across the U.S.
