Suspension of In-Classroom Instruction
Dear Proctor Families,
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we work through this unprecedented event. Friday evening you received an email from Superintendent Ahmadi with information about the next few weeks. This email is meant to provide more detail. While the school sites will halt in-classroom instruction, students will still be receiving remote instruction. Teachers will provide daily and weekly instruction/lessons to students. This can be done through virtual learning, posting of daily assignments, and/or providing work in daily/weekly packets. Your teacher will directly email the logistical details on Monday. Elementary Science Specialists will provide a lesson for 4th and 5th grade each week, and PE teachers will provide lessons for students to complete at home.
Students and families should stay home on Monday, March 16th. Teachers will be using this day to prep materials and develop a communication process with their families. On Tuesday, March 17th between 8:00am and 3:00pm, you may come to campus to pick-up materials and supplies from your child’s classroom. If you are unable to pick up during this time, please let me know and we can work out an alternative time. If your child does not have access to a chromebook but requires one to complete the provided work given, please contact your classroom teacher, and they will check one out for you on Tuesday.
On March 23-24, teachers have scheduled Elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences. These will still take place via phone or in person. Teachers will work with families to set up how their conference will take place.
I will continue to send weekly updates to the community while in-classroom instruction is suspended. Do know how grateful I am to our school community as we navigate this challenging situation together. This is a difficult time for all of us as we face this huge logistical challenge, but I know we can meet these challenges; together, all things are possible.
Sincerely,
Heather Ghereben

Recap: This Week!!
(3/17) Tuesday - 8:00AM- 3:00PM (students/families can come to the campus to pick-up materials and supplies from your child’s classroom). Teachers will send out communication Monday about how this process will take place.
- This day will be for picking up materials and supplies only. We are asking families to do this quickly, and not linger on campus. The classroom teacher will be available to answer questions, and support student instruction through email , and other communication platforms they will be developing. They will share this process on Monday, so please be patient!
- PLEASE check your email regularly for this communication!
Chromebook and Internet Needs!
They will then prompt you/your child on Tuesday, 3/17 to visit the Art Center where you will be able to check-out a Chromebook to take home. Proctor staff will be overseeing this process.
All Chromebooks will be wiped down and disinfected prior to being distributed.
As always, thank you for your patience as we work to design our Distance Learning Model!
