Holliday Happenings

Apple tastings in First Grade

First grade homerooms tasted different kinds of apples and voted on their favorites. They were able to compare apple cider and apple juice; yellow, red and green apples; and some classes even compared apple fritters and apple strudel. Yummy!

Second Grade is great at graphing!

Students in Mrs. Longworth's math class practiced graphing with apples this week. They had to decide which color apple they thought tasted the best and then compiled a class bar graph to display the results. Students in Mrs. Laughter's math class also practiced graphing this week, but they used M&Ms. When they finished their bar graphs, they got to eat them! How fun!!!

Third Grade is thriving!

Third graders are busy learning how to write summaries of books they've been reading. They are learning addition with regrouping in their math classes. Life cycles are being explored in science class. Wow! Keep up the hard work!

Fourth grade is all over the map!

Salt maps, that is! Check out these fourth graders working on their map skills!
