The Board of Education provides a "Board Meeting Summary" after each Board meeting. The summary includes a brief description of the main topics and action items. These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting. We hope these summaries provide some basic information and context around the reports, presentations and action items. The District 41 Pre-K Program, currently housed at Forest Glen School, has achieved Gold Status awarded by the Illinois State Board of Education and ExceleRate Illinois.

The D41 School Board has been acknowledged by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) for achieving Recognition Status.

Reports

Superintendent’s Report | watch

Superintendent Kaczkowski shared that the District is working through a new boundary plan and will present it to the Board during a special meeting tentatively scheduled for October 3 at 6:30 p.m.. It will include current sections per school as well as the proposed sections. The proposed plan would only be put into effect if the referendum passes in November.

Administrator and Teacher Salary and Benefits Report for 2021-2022 School Year

Dr. Kaczkowski shared that school districts are required to post this report and it will be on the District 41 website.

Discussion of P.A. 97-0609 - IMRF Employees over $75,000 for the 2021-2022 School Year

Fund Transfers

Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter shared that this is the annual request to seek a Board action to transfer funds for capital projects.
Five-Year Capital Projects Plan

Mr. DePorter shared some of the summer work that will be upcoming on the capital projects list including roofing and HVAC work at Hadley Junior High School.
