1st trimester of Mother
During the first trimester of being pregnant the mother goes through alot of different changes. The breasts will start to become larger and more tender as hormones change. Nausea and vomiting may happen at any time of the day for about 8-12 weeks. The mother may become very tired and have frequent headaches. Due to all of the pressure on the mothers bladder, urination will become more often.
1st trimester of Baby
During the first trimester of being pregnant the baby goes through alot of changes. The egg and sperm meet in one of the fallopian tubes to create a zygote. Next the zygote travels down the fallopian tube into the uterus. The ball of cells none as the blastocyst rapidly divides and seperartes into two sections. At about the 5th week the organs and skin begin to form to create the baby. By the end end of the week, the baby is most likely about the size of the tip of a pen. During the sixth week your baby's heart will start pumping blood and start to develop facial features. By the twelveth week the babys sex can be determined. the baby will be about 3.5 inches long and weight about 0.5 ounces.
2nd trimester of Baby
By the second trimester the baby has hair on its head, along with their eye brows and eye lashes. You can feel the babys movement. The baby is a foot long and weighs 1 1/4 pounds. By this time you can detect the babys heart beat. The babys sex will become more apparent by the 14th week. By the 18th week the baby begins to hear its surroundings. During the 19th week the baby begins to form its uterus.
2nd trimest of Mother
During the 2nd trimest the mother's uterus has risen into the abdomen releasing pressure on the bladder. By this time the miscarriage rate decreases so many parents expecting start sharing the news. Women are more prone to urinary tract infections and bladder infections. Women usually start to show and start gaining weight. The mother may experience back and leg pains. Discomfort may happen at this time. The mothers blood pressure may change as well.
3rd trimester of Baby
During the third trimester the babys pupils can react to light. The baby starts to form fat underneath the skin. Week 28 the babys eyes begin to open. The bones are fully developed by this time. The lungs are not fully developed but the baby starts learning how to breath. By the 37th week the baby is now considered to be a full term baby. Your babys chest in becoming more prominent by the 37th or 39th week. Approaching week 40 the baby prepares to enter the world.
3rd trimester of Mother
As the long process is coming to an end the mother starts experiencing painless contractions of the uterus. Often times the mothers feet will start to swell and it will become harder for her to walk. Heartburn, shortness of breath, and difficultly sleeping at night will start to occur early in this trimester. The mother will be experiencing the most uncomfort feelings shes ever experienced. Her body will start preparing herself for child birth.
Advice for expectant Fathers
While the mother is experiencing all the pains the father usually is experiencing a lot of nerves. To help with the nerves they can always participate in going to the doctors to examinate the baby with the mother. He can plan for the baby around the house by getting the baby's room finished and ready for the arrival. He should help the mother out in any way possible like by exercising, getting the mother anything she needs, and maintaining a positive envirnoment. Also the father should support his partners decisions in what the mother may want to do with the baby. It is very important that the father tries to keep a positive mind set and never give up on his very emotional wife. Positivity will always be key for the mother and the father as well as team work. Without team work there will be a lot more issues that will accure.
