Reminder to all:
Jeans for Genes Day
Friday the 19th September is Jeans for Genes Day, which raises money for Genetic Disorders UK to help improve the lives of British children suffering from these conditions.
Genetic disorders affect one in 25 of UK children, which means 30,000 babies are born with them every year. The problems and complications such disorders bring are the biggest cause of death in children under the age of 14.
Some are apparent at birth while others are diagnosed at different stages throughout childhood, and sometimes into adulthood.
The money raised by organisations and schools on Jeans for Genes Day funds a range of initiatives that improve the quality of life of children and families affected by genetic disorders. Students can get involved simply by wearing their jeans to school on Friday the 19th and donating, as well as by holding all sorts of fun fundraising events.
If you are interest in organizing this fundraising event, please contact Ms. Zago as soon as possible.
Halcyon Drama Club-Drama Production!
If you could not attend the Drama Club meeting yesterday at lunch, you can still join in. Please come to a meeting after school on Wed, Sept. 17th or Thursday, Sept. 18th. We will be meeting in the Council Room.
