Two down...

What's Happening:

Lunch bunch is back, and Mrs. Malo is spreading the word about filling each other's bucket. We started our guidance time with her this week. Students also visited the library. We will attend as a class one more time week, and after that we will go as a class for special projects. Students are allowed to go to the library before school or during lunch/recess to return and check out books.

Book of the Month:

Thanks for the Feedback by Julia Cook is our September Book of the Month. Students are working on their first Reader's Response as we learn to give and receive feedback so we can grow. This is the foundation to a positive learning culture at Schluter Elementary.

In the Classroom:

We continue to learn and practice habits of a learner through communication - both verbally and written, goal-setting, thinking about our thinking, and giving and receiving feedback.

Head's up:

  • Fall fundraiser kicks off on Friday, September 11th.
  • Our first Silver Spurs will be honored during assembly on Friday, September 18th.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Coronado, Mrs. Dattola, Mrs. Dwyer, Mrs. Hammond (Mrs. Hall), Ms. Self

Northwest ISD policy states that classmates are not allowed to join you due to allergies. Thank you for your help and understanding with that.
