Hank Aaron's Upbringing, Trials, & Success:
Hank Aaron was born on February 5, 1934 in Mobile, Alabama. Although he is known now as one of the best baseball players of all time, he almost didn't get a chance to play. It took another teammates injury to give him a chance. Aaron had many trials going against him. At one point there were 3000 letters a day coming into the Braves office ranging anywhere from general disgust at a black man breaking baseballs most sacred record to death threats. Someone even tried to kidnap his daughter. He is most known for his success in breaking Babe Ruth's career home-run record in 1974. He founded the Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream Foundation which helps children reach their potential.
