Flag Day June 14!

Flag Day is a celebration of the American flag. It is done as a remembrance of the introduction of the country’s first flag on June 14, 1777, as the official American flag by the Continental Congress.

lost and found

Our lost and found bin is overflowing!! We will have the bin out on the blacktop area after school. Please take the time to look through to see if anything belongs to your child. Anything that is not claimed will be donated.

Reminder from the Nurse

Please don't forget to pick up your child's medications on the last day of school.

If you have not done so already - Please complete the Enrollment Survey

Believe it or not the end of the school year is fast approaching! We are getting ready for the 22-23 school year. Please complete the Enrollment Survey to let us know if you will be returning to the district or moving. This will assist us in preparing our class rosters, ordering supplies and materials for the upcoming school year.

SUMMER Learning and Activities

Questions and Answers

Our school year is almost at it's end and before you know it it will be September. We always have questions about the next school year. Here are a few questions with answers that we get often.

How will I know who my child's teacher will be?

You will receive an email sometime in August. Before you get your child's placement you will need to sign into their Genesis account and complete the required forms. Once that is complete you will get the name of your child's teacher with a welcome letter from the teacher..

What do I do if I am moving over the summer?

Please contact the main office until June 29, you may also email Mrs. Dudley.

You will need to complete paperwork to withdraw your student and authorize the release of records to the new school.

Will my kindergartener have orientation?

We have an informal "Sneak Peak" usually the day before school starts. Information will be sent out to our new kindergarten parents with the date and time.

What supplies will my child need?

Please see the Watchung School Supply List 2022-23 broken down by grade level as to what your child will need.

A NOTE FROM THE NURSe

Please remember to collect your students medications from the nurses office on the last day of school.

We have gone over bike, roller skates, and scooter safety. Please remind your children to keep their helmets on anytime they are riding. We need to protect their still growing brains from any concussions.

We have talked all year about the importance of drinking water and staying hydrated. Remind them Mrs. Garofalo says drink water, it is the answer to everything!

Below is an infographic with COVID 19 symptoms. If your child has 2 or more symptoms, they need a negative test before they can return to school. Please do not send siblings to school while waiting for the sick students' results.

Board Policy 7490 - ANIMALS ON SCHOOL PROPERTY

Please be reminded that according to Board of Education Policy 7490, "Pet animals are not permitted on school district grounds". There have been several reports of dogs during student arrival and dismissal. Although they have been on leashes, it still poses a safety concern for our students and I kindly ask that your pets remain at home and are not brought onto school property. I appreciate your anticipated cooperation and mutual concern for our student's safety.
