BOX TOPS COLLECTIONS
Start the school year off right, help collect Box Tops now! Collect, collect, collect...label, then turn in to earn prizes.
PLEASE USE A ZIP LOCK BAG LABELED WITH CHILD'S NAME, TEACHER AND ROOM NUMBER TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR US TO COUNT!!!
**Bins are available in the MAIN Office and CARES Office if you would like to drop off or you can give them to your child's teacher to turn in**
Collecting Box Tops is an easy way to earn cash for McPherson. Each one is worth 10¢! Physical Box Top clippings are being phased out of production but may continue to be found on many products throughout stores. Send your clipped Box Tops, along with any unexpired Box Tops you may have at home, to your child’s teacher. Going forward, you can now download the Box Top application on your phone, scan or snap a photo of your receipt within 14 days of purchase. The earnings through the phone application is recognized automatically. Our school will get a check to spend on classroom supplies.
This year 10 students with the most collected box tops will win prizes. Prizes could be gift cards from Target or vouchers for after school ice cream (prizes TBD). The classroom with the most collected box tops will also win a popcorn party.

FRIDAY – SEPTEMBER 27th
Greetings McPherson families! This year, McPherson Magnet School will be participating in the Walk for Wilson’s Disease on Friday, September 27th. We are walking to spread awareness for Wilson’s Disease and Patrick Melvin’s life. Mrs. Marzolo’s son, Patrick, lost his life to Wilson’s Disease. This walk is a national event on Saturday, October 5th, and we’re doing our own version at this school!!
What to Wear!
The school will be remembering Patrick by wearing their baseball caps backwards and wearing Converse or Vans. Also, the school will wear the national Wilson’s colors -- blue, red and yellow to support the walk! Students who have a WOW (Walk on Wilson’s) shirt from last year’s event may wear that as well. Remember that you must be in the Wilson colors (blue, red or yellow) or in your school uniform. You may order a new shirt from Mrs. Marzolo. A portion of the proceeds go to the Wilson Disease Association and a portion to McPherson Magnet School Programs. A shirt order form is attached to this newsletter. Orders due by Friday, September 13th.
