CHECK OUT HCS STUDENT ARTWORK AT THE CHAMPLAIN VALLEY REGIONAL ART SHOW!
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO LEARN?
As we near Town Meeting Day, Champlain Valley School District community members and voters have the opportunity to learn more about the proposed 2023-2024 (FY24) budget. Just as we offer opportunities for our students to learn in a variety of ways, we are providing the same to you.
Please attend an in-person presentation, see videos and slides, read articles, or view charts and graphs on the Budget page of the district’s website and in our Annual Report. Find the manner that best suits your style of learning to be an informed voter.
If, after that, you still have questions, reach out to the CVSD School Board cvsdschoolboard@cvsdvt.org or use the School Board or Budget Let’s Talk topics https://www.cvsdvt.org/page/268
Please join the CVSD Annual Informational Meeting on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 5:00 at CVU.
See the Annual Warning on the budget page of our website for all of the CVSD ballot articles. All eligible residents in Champlain Valley School District towns are encouraged to vote on March 7th or earlier.

YouTube Kids is an app made for kids by offering curated content for younger internet users. Parents can create an account for their child and determine the age range of content that can be accessed
for discovering new interests. This recently came up in third grade as
a good tool for searching how to make pop-up cards! (See below)

CVSD & CONNECTING YOUTH VAPING PREVENTION PROGRAM
Dear CVSD Community,
We are acutely aware of the growing use of EVPs among youth. This month, we are announcing the CVSD and Connecting Youth Vaping Prevention Campaign, a district-wide effort.
The gravity of this issue has required us to think critically about our approach to enacting change. With a holistic approach including programs, policies, practices and people, we will shift our cultural narrative around EVP misuse from punitive to restorative and inspire change in youth beliefs and behaviors.
With this announcement, we are sharing two important videos for partners like you. We can only be successful with your support. Please please take a few moments to view the videos and share with students and your communication channels. The more you share, the more impact we can have.
"Let's Talk About Vaping" - Informational video for educators, parents, and caregivers
"Up In Smoke" - Student video
Soon we will reveal more tools and resources for you to support the campaign including upcoming ParentIN-hosted events with focused discussion panels by vaping prevention experts and healthcare professionals. Thank you for being an integral partner in our campaign’s success.
In gratitude,
Tony Moulton
