Presented by Kelly Grigg and Cynthia Ramirez
TCEA 2017

How It Started-SMART Goals
The Planning and the Badge Creating
Campus Technology Integration Specialist Planning (Spring):
- Create a master list of all the technology & tools available to use in the classroom.
- What areas are we wanting to see more use? How do we bump up SAMR levels?
- Set district requirements for earning badges; What does a teacher have to do to earn the badge? Our goals usually end "with students".
- Create fun badges also: Epic Fail, I Reset My Own Password, Trailblazer
Technology Department Planning (Summer):
- Purchase a quality button machine (USA Buttons - The Machine 250) with replacement parts for 1" buttons. (2 machines would be great if can purchase.)
- Order lanyards (www.4imprint.com)
- Setup a digital venue to assign badges (www.classbadges.com) and organization for button badges.
- Summer months: badge image development, creation, online access & storage for CTIS (We developed an Office 365 Share Point Site for easy access).
- Develop T-Shirt logo and order.

Organization & Maintenance
Button Creating & Organization
- Create a mobile badge making station that can be utilized at any time.
- Organize a storage area for badges and easy access for CTIS.
- Organize printable files for badge creating and keep those folders full.
- Tag bins with a sticky tab when a badge supply gets low.
- When inventory is low, create a Button Bonanza Week where CTIS come in pairs to create and refill the supply.
- Some CTIS come on their own and make when they need for the next few weeks.
