State School Report Card, Building Goals and the Leader in Me!

As a school, we have set 3 learning goals to help all stduents achieve. The first goal is in literacy and will be measured according to our MAP assessment, looking for at least 50% achievement on literacy growth goals. The second is related to math and looks for at least 60% achievement of math growth goals. And the final goal, looks at school culture (Leader in Me) and 100% of all classrooms will develop a class mission statement that will be reviewed throughout the year.

In addition, we continue to find ways to teach and learn about living our lives as leaders- practicing the 7 habits (Be Proactive, Begin with the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win-Win, Seek First to Understand, then to be Understood, Synergize, and Sharpen the Saw).

Proudly, our state school report card shows we are making great progress toward our goals and creating a wonderful learning culture at Lincoln. We will be sending the report card home to every family at the end of December- but we again EXCEED EXPECTATIONS and are closing the achievement gaps at a high rate! I know you join me in supporting the great work of our teachers, students and families here at Lincoln!

Leadership Assembly

We held a fun filled leadership assembly this past week! This was led by student leaders. We looked at our behavior, shared our class mission statements, and sang some songs together! It was a great time!

Wednesday Communicator

It is SO important that you look through this White Wednesday Communicator on Wednesdays and be sure to return this to school. We are stuffing these each Wednesday (Thanks Kathy Ross!), and need to have these returned. Thank you for your attention to this process!

Drop off and Pick Up!

Thank you to everyone for making this a safe and smooth process! Please drop your children off in the back before school to either go to the fenced area, or head inside for breakfast. After school, please pick up in the back. WAIT in line if you are not parking. Do NOT make a U-turn near the pick up line as that is a crosswalk. I promise, even the last car is out by 3:12 PM. This is a great time to model patience and rule following for your children. And, a great time to share that we follow rules to keep everyone safe! Thank you for helping make Lincoln a safe place to learn and grow!

Mrs. Holle Happy News!

As most of you know, Mrs. Holle will be welcoming the newest member of her family December 12th! We will miss her, but we know she will be right where she needs to be! In her absence, Mrs. Lexy Maas will be filling in as secretary.

Please know that you will NOT be able to email Mrs. Holle your absences, you MUST call the school to report absences (262) 472-8500. Thank you!

Lunch/Breakfast Accounts

Please be sure to keep your child (ren)'s lunch balances in the positive. If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to ask the office for a free/reduced application. Our district prides itself on providing a hot lunch with fresh fruits and veggies daily- to do this, it is important the accounts are in the positive. Thanks for your attention to this!

Winter and Holiday Break

Mark your calendars for our Winter Break and Happy Holidays! We will be off of school December 25- January 1st. Returning January 2nd!
