Tips and Reminders for AP Psych

Second Semester Begins

A New Semester - A New Start...

The new grading period begins on January 13th. For those of you who are pleased with your grade - Keep up the good work! For those who would like to improve your grade - please look over the following items (there are quite a few suggestions) - and let's go!

Things to do Every Day!

Check that Learning Block EVERY DAY!

Log into your course FROM A COMPUTER and read the Learning Block EVERY DAY!

Reading the reminder from Moodle is NOT the same, because the email does not contain all the information in the post:

  • The Learning Block daily post includes hints, tips, and clues to help you learn better.
  • Teachers also post upcoming due dates and events.

This is NOT just a suggestion - it is a course requirement!

Check those Due Dates!

You have assignments to work on EVERY day in this course - and something to submit almost every day! Several of you have lower grades that you would like because you have not turned in REQUIRED work! Solutions for this:
  • Log in EVERY day!
  • Read your Learning Block EVERY Day!
  • Check due dates EVERY Day!

Free Web-based Study Tools

Resources with some cost (Not Required)

Psych2Go is a resource that accompanies your textbook. For 99 cents per chapter, or $9.99 for the book, you can access downloadable reviews, quizzes, and flashcards to help you review and master concepts for your course. It is NOT required, but may make studying and review more accessible.

Use the Study Guide.

Study Guides are available inexpensively through online booksellers. Although a study guide is NOT required, the MC questions that are in the study guide are either remarkably similar or the same as the ones on the test. The study guide is not only good for its practice tests, but for the "walk through the section" part which helps students find key facts in the material.

The Boundless Psychology Open Textbook

From We work with domain experts to curate and organize high quality, openly licensed content. This content comes from government resources, open educational repositories, and other openly licensed websites. The result is a great free online learning resource. This is the FREE Resource!

However, for a fee (about $19.99) Boundless offers other options: Did you know we can re-organize this content to provide an alternative to your assigned textbook? For example, get the Boundless alternative to Psychology 10th Edition , Psychology 9th Edition or Psychology in Modules 10th Edition
