Were is the volcano?
It is is in Washington state in Mt. St. Helens National Park.
Mt. St. Helens formed by an enormous landslide on May 18, 1980.
The newly formed crater is about 2 km wide.
What were the efects of the eruption?

An interesting thing about Mt. St. Helens is that you can take helicopter rides, and there is a place were you can look at Mt. St. Helens. Also, you can go horseback riding near Mt. St. Helens.
When was the eruption?
One eruption happened in 1980 and was devastating.
What did Mt. St. Helens look like before and after the eruption?
Mt. St. Helens looked like a normal mountain until it erupted. After the eruption , there was a giant crater at the top of Mt. St. Helens.

Mt. St. Helens is starting to come back to life. Trees, flowers and animals are coming back to Mt. St. Helens to live.

Mt. St. Helens is a great and wonderful mountain but was dangerous whenever it erupted!
