Mindset Book Study

On Thursday we had our 2nd meeting of the Growth Mindset book study. We were lucky to have Dr. James Gandre, a Grant School family alumni (6th grade class of 1971), join us through Skype. He shared how some of his experiences as a 5th grader in Dave Seefeldt's room and from his High School Choir teacher helped him to become the President of Manhattan School of Music.

He made two strong points to our group. One, even as the President of a prestigious college, he still is working to develop the growth mindset and self-confidence. Two, he complimented us for the job we do everyday because we can have a tremendous positive impact on those we teach everyday.
