The Weekly Hoot
May 1-7, 2017
Greetings All -
Another week down...I can see it in your faces as you walk the halls. You are TIRED! As we all know spring fever has definitely sprung, with us as well as with the kiddos. I saved this blog post from when Rebecca Cawthon posted a link to it last year on Facebook and I am attaching it below because I think we all need to read it and take it to heart. We are tired right now. We are grumpy. We are feeling ready to throw our hands up. But then, right when we least expect it, a child makes a breakthrough, or you get a hug from a child, or a parent thanks you. At that moment, you know you are in the greatest profession in the world.

This coming week it is Teacher Appreciation Week. As I have said before, andI hope you all know, but in case you don't, all of you mean the absolute world to me. Nearly every day I have people let me know how proud they are of our school. How glad they have their children coming here. How amazing all of you are. And it makes me so proud! We all have worked so hard to have a wonderful school, and it would be nothing without all of you. Thank you so much for showing up everyday, physically and emotionally. Thank you so much for putting effort into students who sometimes don't appreciate it. Thank you so much for being the calm in the storm for our students. You all are irreplaceable. I love each and every one of you very much, and I hope you have a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week!
With that being said --- jeans day all week for Teacher Appreciation Week!!!! And please fill free to leave right after you load busses and cars on any day that you can. :)
Have a great week!
Love,
Marcy
