Franklin Roosevelt Franklin Roosevelt was born in 1882 at Hyde Park, Nealson York .He was the son of James Roosevelt and Sara Delano Roosevelt. He married Eleanor Roosevelt on St. Patrick’s Day in 1905.On April 12,1945,He was elected as the nation’s 32nd president in 1932 when he was in his second term as governor of New York. He had pledged the United States to the “good neighbor” policy.Another thing that happened to him was that he was re-elected president in November 1932,to the second of four terms.In March 13,000,000 unemployed, and almost every bank was closed.In 1935 the Nation had achieved some measure of recovery,but businessmen and bankers were mad. He is also known for being re-elected by a top-heavy margin.As part of being a re-elected president he help when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7,1941.Another thing he did as being 32nd president of the United States is he helped when wars and problem were going on .He will be always be re-remembered for being the 32nd president of the Untied States of America.
