The Pyramids of Egypt
The pyramids are an important cultural aspect of Africa. They were built millions of years ago by ancient Egyptians. They were used as burial chambers for ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. It took about 20 years for 100,000 slaves to build one pyramid. Even though the pyramids had to go through a long test of time, there are still many standing today.
Great Rift Valley
The Great Rift Valley lies in Easy Africa and formed when the African Plate split apart. It is 3,700 miles in length. The Great Rift Valley runs from Northern to Southern Kenya. It is also one of the geological wonders of the world.
Safari on the Savannah
The Savannah is located throughout Central Africa and is a grassland with many trees and animals. Some of the animals the Savannah is known for are elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras etc. In the Savannah there is a wet season (beginning of year) and a dry season (end of year).
Madagascar
Madagascar is a beautiful island off the coast of East Africa. Located in the Indian Ocean, it is one of the only places in the world that is home to lemurs. The beaches on Madagascar are beautiful, and many have resorts on them.
