Chula Vista High School - Home of Champions!

9/7/2020 - 9/13/2020

Message from the Principal

Hello Spartans,

I hope you all had a chance to enjoy the warm weather this Labor Day weekend! As a reminder, due to the holiday, we return to Distance Learning tomorrow, Tuesday September 8th and we will be on a Block B (2, 4, 6, 8) schedule. Additionally, this Friday, September 11th, we will be on a Block A (1, 3, 5, 7) schedule, with first period starting at 8:20 am.

Thank you to all who were able to visit us virtually during our first ever CVH Virtual Open House. And a huge thank you to the teachers, staff and the administrative team for putting the program together. Special thanks to Ms. DiAnne Cabe, our Assistant Principal of Student Activities for leading the charge and to our SCPA teachers and students who performed for us.

Our first grading period will end on Friday, September 18th. I encourage each of you to check your current grades on Jupiter Grades and if needed, communicate with your teachers as needed. It will most likely be easier for students to address low grades now, instead of waiting to make a push late in the semester.

Finally, I ask you to please join me in remembering and honoring the innocent people that lost their lives during the attacks of September 11, 2001. We also pay homage to the brave first responders, many who made the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty. I hope we also remember how we as a country came together to heal. We currently find ourselves in a crucial moment in time, where we need to come together to get through this pandemic, civil unrest and a divided country. We need to remember the power of our united front! Together, we will overcome!

Let's have an awesome sixth week of Distance Learning Spartans!

Thank you!

Home of Champions!

Hola Spartans,

¡Gracias!
