Homeric simile/Extended Metaphor
Definition:figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another in the style of Homer or the epic poems

Example:"He eats in bird-like quantities, accepting tiny portions at fleeting intervals, as the sparrow perched above the rose bush snatches the small green aphids from the dewy leaf."
