The Digestive system has two main functions, to convert food into nutrients, and to get rid the body of waste. To do its job, the system requires the cooperation of a number of different organs throughout the body, including the mouth, stomach, small intestine, liver, gallbladder, etc.

Homeostasis- the process of the body staying at an steady state. Example- When you are sick your body temperature rises to fight the disease off.

Why We Eat The Foods We Eat.

Personal taste, family preferences, cultural influences, emotional reasons, health concerns, societal pressures, convenience, cost, and variety and quantity of the available offerings all come into play when we choose what to eat. Also Taste preferences are present when we''re born, with even babies showing a cravenness for sweets and fats. Over time, we develop a palate for other flavors.
