LIFT WITH YOUR LEGS NOT YOUR BACK

By: Nathan Miller

lifting with your back can cause injury

some of the possible injuries you could get from lifting with your back might be:
muscle strains which happens when the muscle is over-stretched or torn, resulting in damage to the muscle fibers (also called a pulled muscle) or even lumbar sprain happens when ligaments are stretched too far or torn. Ligaments are very tough, fibrous connecting tissues that connect bones together.

Why lifting with your legs is better than lifting with your back

some of the most obvious reasons for lifting with your legs instead are: its keeps you from pulling or straining your back another reason is that it prevents serious injuries that could put you out of work or even put you in the hospital

how to lift with your legs not your back

HOW TO NOT PICK SOMETHING UP

DO NOT DO

do not try to pick some thing up that is overweight and something you know you cant do alone. Don't try to bend over straight by this i mean straight legged and trying to pick some heavy object off the ground.

ALWAYS TRY TO

Always try to bend down and pick heavy objects up you should never try to do it with your back and if the object your trying to lift is just to heavy try to get some people to help you instead of trying to lift it all by yourself.
