ROOKIES READ and CALL-A-PACER...Take a Look!
ROOKIES READ
As part of the Pacers Read Like A Pro Program, the Pacers host Rookies Read. Starting its fourth season, this program features Pacers Rookies sharing one of their favorite children’s stories via a digital platform – both e-books and on www.Pacers.com.
Each series also features a special guest, including a member of the Indiana Pacemates, All-Star Reading Team, former Pacers player or members of the Indiana Fever. Rookie Read is a video-based program encouraging kids of all ages to embrace the love of reading!
Check out the latest episode at
https://www.nba.com/pacers/video/rookie-read-flashing-fire-engines,
which features Pacers rookie Alize Johnson and Pacers Legend Darnell Hillman.
CALL A PACER presented by STANLEY SECURITY
The Pacers team up with Stanley Security and the Indianapolis Public Library to present Call A Pacer. This annual program allows callers to listen to featured Pacers’ players or coaches read a select children’s story.
Fans of all ages can call (317) 275-4444, or toll-free at 877-275-9007 to hear members of the Pacers read pre-selected children’s stories. Phone lines are open 24 hours a day and may be accessed by up to four listeners at a time. Call A Pacer was created to encourage school-age children to read and visit their neighborhood library. All stories run for 12 weeks beginning in April each year.
Please see flyer below for this season’s Call A Pacer schedule.

ATTENTION: Visitor(s) during lunch
When a student has a visitor(s) come for lunch with them, the student (if they wish) may invite ONLY ONE friend to sit with them in a booth in the commons. We have limited booth and cafeteria space . Parents/visitors should be eating in a booth in the commons. Only if the commons booths are full, then they could come eat in the cafeteria. (exception will be if they need a peanut-free table or at TA discretion)
We have shared this information with our students during announcements this week. We have asked our students to act with integrity and lead this expectation. Thank you for following this request.
