Mrs. Fortunato’s Message
Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He published his first children’s book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, under the name of Dr. Seuss in 1937. Next came a string of best sellers, including The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham. His rhymes and characters are beloved by generations. We will kick off Dr. Seuss celebrations on Monday! It is a Jeans Dress Down Day (top-red, white, black or Dr. Seuss character shirts) for students and teachers and staff. Teachers and principal are baking cupcakes this weekend to sell at lunch for $1 to off set the cost of the supplies. Thursday is the BIG day for Dr. Seuss! After daily Mass (we will not attend an hour 9 am Mass), students will join together with their Faith Family and participate in sense-funtastic activities planned by our Dr. Seuss Teacher Committee!
**Please refer to the Dr. Seuss flyer (Happenings) for daily events being held throughout the week.
