ASVAB: Ms. Alexander is taking sign ups for the ASVAB, which will be held her at BRHS on Wednesday, November 10th. If you are unsure of what you want to do after you graduate, this is a great way to identify your strengths. You do not have to be interested in the military to take it; however, if you are thinking about or planning to join the military, this is your chance to see how you will do. See Ms. Alexander in P-1 with questions.

BLOOD DRIVE: We have a few spots left! Our first blood drive of the year is coming November 12. Students earn .5 in Service! See Ms. Alexander in P-1 to sign up. It's super easy to do and you are helping your community.

THE FEAST: BRHS is proud to announce that we will have our Annual Feast on November 19th! The entire school will have a Thanksgiving type meal courtesy of our Home Economic class. After we eat, we celebrate with different fun activities. More information will follow.

LAST WEEK FOR RAVEN CARD GAME: Earn cards by turning in work. Each .5 credits of work (not DI or daily elective participation) to receive a card. For example, in ART if you turn in a graded assignment of .5 then you get a card, if you do a packet worth .5 you get a card, and if you turn in .5 of a PE packet you get a card. REMEMBER this has to be stand alone work, not participation or DI. At the end of the month, the student with the best "hand" will receive a prize. We may even do more than one.

SPIRIT DAY - This Friday's Spirit Day is School Spirit - Wear Red, Black, and Silver

YOGA in the AM: Monday, Wedesday, & Friday in P-3 during HR.

FIRST AND LAST 10 MINUTES: No restroom passes the first and last 10 minutes of class.

UNITY HOME: Meets Tuesday during 2nd period.

GATE ACTIVITY on 11/15: Homeroom teachers, please provide Mrs. Kelley with one student who you would like to be considered to participate in the GATE "Kidnapped" activity on Monday, November 15th. Identified GATE students are automatically invited, but Mrs. Kelley has room for a few more. Please provide the name to Mrs. Kelley by Friday, 11/5.

HOMEROOM TEACHERS: Please encourage your HR students to 'like' the Black Rock High School Facebook page (.1) and sign up for all three remind.com accounts (see above - .1 each). It will help with communication.
