Students Working on Understanding our Kindness Matters Initiative...
Parents & Guardians:
Last week, we tied together a strong message about caring about each other and making sure that everyone feels as though they are part of our learning community. Each and every student wants to feel accepted and it's our job to help make that happen. If you ever feel as though your child is struggling in any capacity, please call guidance or the administration immediately; we are always here and ready to help!
Finally, a big shout out to our staff and all of the parents for an outstanding night of Parent Conferences. Our idea of pre-scheduling appointments was a huge hit and definitely worked out much better than our past format. We will continue to look for ways to make this night better and better...

What's Happening This Week?
Monday, March 19th:
- 8th grade scheduling for Shepherd Hill will finish up in the library
Tuesday, March 20th:
- Infrastructural Trials for C.B.T. (Computer-Based Testing) MCAS; this will be scheduled for 6th & 7th grade students only. It's a short 30 to 40 minute review to test our school-wide bandwidth in preparation for the upcoming testing process.
- School Spirit Day - Beach Day... (No swimwear, flip-flops or hats). See our morning announcements for more information.
Wednesday, March 21st:
- Students can sign-up to volunteer at the Senior Center at the Town Hall from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. Sign-ups are located on the desk in the main office. We take the first 8 to sign up. Students from all grades are welcomed to sign up.
Thursday, March 22nd:
- Budget Question & Answer Forum at 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in our auditorium. For your convenience, we will have child care available for your children.
Friday, March 23rd:
- Twitter Live with Mr. Packard & Mr. Olson 9:00-9:15 a.m. Please join us on Twitter at that time and type in your questions.

Budget Information Night - Thursday, March 22, 2018
Superintendent Desto will be hosting a forum to answer any questions pertaining to the upcoming budget on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. in our auditorium. We will have activities set up for children while the parents attend the meeting.
Spring Intramurals
There are still openings for spring intramurals and sign ups are in the office. Spring intramurals will be every Wednesday after school from 2:30 to 3:30, starting this Wednesday, March 21st. Please bring in a permission slip from a parent or guardian to Mrs. Logan, stating you will be staying after for intramurals.
Music Parents Association - Butter Braids Fundraiser
Braided pastries and Lyman Crisps will be delivered on Tuesday, March 27th in time for Easter. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Ciani at nemciani@gmail.com
Spring Sports Sign-Ups
Baseball/Softball sign-ups will open on Friday 16th and close on Thursday 22nd. Please pick up a sports packet in the main office and hand in your completed packet to the nurse by Thursday 22nd. Note: Any students without an updated physical on file with the nurse will not be able to tryout. Tryouts are tentatively scheduled for the week of March 26th-30th - weather permitting. If you have any questions, please contact our Athletic Director, Mr. Rogalski at jrogalski@dcrsd.org
