Gabrielle Vera, a senior at Beckman, was inspired to create a resource where others could reduce their stress and anxiety. While her main focus is on art therapy, the booklet is meant to inform and connect teens with other resources as well as inspire them to find their own path toward mental health and wellness. All the artwork in the booklet is made by Beckman’s own artists. “Mindful Art for High School Teens” is now available for anyone in the Career Center’s Wellness Corner or through the link below.
Senior Scene
- Seniors should confirm their applications have been received and processed by the colleges.
- If you’ve submitted your FAFSA you should be receiving a Student Aid Report (SAR). Be sure to review it and make sure everything is accurate. If you haven't submitted it, the deadline to complete your FAFSA is March 2nd.
- Some schools have late deadlines or rolling admissions policies so you may still be able to apply even if you haven’t already.
- Acceptance, rejection and wait list letters may start arriving as early as this month. If you haven’t heard from your colleges yet, don’t worry; it’s very common for letters to go out as late as April.
