COVID-19 Testing Consent Form
Due to the surge in COVID-19, we are asking that you please consider completing the Parent Consent Form for Optional COVID -19 Testing On Campus. Signing the form in advance will make it easier if you would like for your child to be given the test on campus, if the need arrives. Please note that no testing will be done without the parent’s verbal consent the day of testing as well as a signed consent form.

Parking Lot Procedures
Please be mindful of our morning drop off procedures. Parents can only utilize the drop off lanes to drop their students off, the parking lot is unavailable for student drop off as it has become a safety concern. Please note that the drop off lanes are moving lanes and therefore parking in the drop off lane is prohibited. Thank you for keeping #OURKIDS safe.
Winter Dress Code Reminder
Please remember the dress code for outerwear:
- School approved sweatshirts, hoodies, and jackets worn in the building must be plain solid colors, college, Irving ISD high school, or Lamar spirit-wear.
- Outerwear that has printed brand names is not school approved and cannot be worn in the building.
- Hoods and hats cannot to be worn in the building, including individual classrooms.

Yearbook
We still have yearbooks from ’19-’20 ($10) and ’20-’21 ($30) available to purchase on campus with cash or check. Current '21-22 Yearbook pre-sale price is $34. Checks must have driver’s license #, phone number, and include your child’s name and ID #.
PHOTOS WANTED!
If you or your child have amazing pictures from extracurricular activities, please submit them for consideration to be included in the yearbook! Students can download the Balfour ImageShare App onto their iPads from the App Portal to submit photos if they do not have a phone. Please see the flyer in your email for details.
iPads and Chargers
All students need to bring their charged device and charger to school with them every day.
All 6th grade students need to turn in their Hotspot devices to Mrs. Flowers in room 219.
Charger cords and plug-in bricks can be purchased on campus. Cords are $6 and plug-in bricks are $7.

Arrival and Dismissal
- Doors will open for students at 7:45 am.
- School begins at 8:15 am and dismissed at 3:45 pm.
- Students should be on campus by 8:10 am and be picked up by 4:00 pm.
Lunch
Please be aware that parents and guardians cannot drop off lunch for their student this year due to COVID protocols.
Bus Routes
Dress Code
- Students must visibly wear their school-issued ID while on campus each school day and at all after school events.
- School approved tops must be non-branded collared shirts and can be any solid color.
- School approved pants/capris must be pleated or non-pleated slacks. Capris must touch the kneecap or below.
- School approved shorts and skirts must be no more than 2” above the kneecap.
