Principal's Message

Dear Main Prep families,

Thank you to all our families who came out on Monday to pick up your child's Chromebook or Ipad. It was great to see all of our families and marvel at how much our children have grown since we last saw them. If you were unable to come on Monday, please contact the office to make arrangements to pick up your child's device. Please note that no parents will be permitted in the building after noon on Friday.

The Main Prep staff would like to officially welcome all of our Panthers back to the school building! We will be starting in person classes on Tuesday, September 8. For those of you who have requested learning from home, our staff will be eager to see your child online by 8:30 Tuesday morning. For specific questions regarding either in person or online learning, please contact your child's teacher.

I think we can all agree that the 2020-21 school year will be like no other. That said, the Main Prep staff remains committed to providing our scholars and our families the best that we have every day. We look forward to having daily contact with our children and getting back to learning and growing with them. In spite of everything, we still believe that this is going to be an awesome school year. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns.

REQUEST FOR TRANSPORTATION

At this time, Akron Public Schools is responsible for transporting our children to school if they live at least two miles from the school. Because APS students are learning from home the first quarter, they are offering our Main Prep families a Metro Bus Pass or a transportation stipend at the end of the school year.

If we have enough parents complete a Request for Transportation along with Proof of Residency, we may be able to provide bus transportation for your child. You may acquire a Request for Transportation form by contacting the school office or your child's homeroom teacher.
