October 20th is a Digital Learning Day and students will learn from home. On Thursday, October 21st, the buses, car riders, and daycare van riders will be dismissed at 12:20 pm.

The Plan.....The Promise

The Plan: The purpose of the Family and Community Engagement Plan is to establish the school’s expectations for parental/family engagement; describe how the school will implement a number of specific family engagement activities designed to increase student academic achievement.

The Promise: The purpose of the School-Family Promise (Compact) is to serve as an agreement that parents, students, and teachers develop together, explaining how they will partner to ensure that students meet state academic standards.

To view Partee's Plan...Promise document, please visit the Partee Elementary School Website under the Parent's Tab.

Safety and Security

Emergency Procedures - Please be sure to follow check-in and check-out procedures and the procedures for car riders. These are in place to ensure safety of our students.

Also, we will continue to practice our required fire drills, tornado drills, hard and soft lock down drills regularly. The School Resource Officers (SROs) will be assisting us with the hard lock down practices throughout the school year. Remember that these practice sessions are necessary so that everyone knows what to do in the event of a real emergency.

Media Center

Partee September Monthly Report

Refer to the image to the left to find out the GREAT things that our Media Center is doing. It's obvious that our students are enjoying reading, because book checkouts in the Media Center have been record breaking. Over 4,000 books were checked out in the month of September. Keep reading Generals!

Book Fair

The book fair is coming October 21st through October 29th! This is always an exciting time for our students. Classes will have the opportunity to browse the fair and make a wish list of titles they would like to purchase. Look out for these wish lists and other information regarding the Book Fair coming home within the upcoming weeks. As always, participating in the book fair is optional. A portion of all sales goes directly to buy new books for our school library.

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

This year all GCPS students will have access to breakfast and lunch at no charge; however, the number of students who qualify is used to determine school funding each year. It is very important that our families complete a new free and reduced lunch application every school year. If you would like a paper application please come by the front office.

From the Clinic

Fall season has arrived along with weather changes, the flu, seasonal allergies and unfortunately for some, even asthma flare ups.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Students should wear a mask daily and have a spare or two in their bookbag.
  • Students should dress up in layers, as the mornings are cool, and afternoons are warm.
  • If your child suffers from allergies, please start treating them if their physician has prescribed allergy medication.
  • If your child has asthma, please ensure that you have provided the school clinic with paperwork and the corresponding medication prescription.
  • Consider getting the flu shot for your children by the end of October.
  • If your child does not feel well, please keep him/her home.

If we take precautions, we'll get to enjoy the season and everything that it may bring. Thank you for your cooperation.

**"Masks are Required in all GCPS facilities, students should have them on before getting on the bus and before entering the building. Please add a couple of spare masks to your child's bookbag, as sometimes masks are thrown away when clearing up their lunch trays, or they are left behind at the playground."

Important Reminders

Parent Student Handbook

  • If you have not done so already, please go to MyPaymentsPlus to sign-off stating that you have received and read the GCPS Parent and Student Handbook. MyPaymentsPlus can be accessed on the Partee ES website or by going to www.mypaymentsplus.com.

Lunch

  • Visitors are not permitted at this time during lunch.
  • Birthdays can only be celebrated during lunch. We now offer ice cream for $1 per student. You have this option as a way to celebrate your child's birthday and other students in the class. Ask your teacher how many student's are in the class. No balloons, stuffed animals, etc. please.

Transportation Changes

For the safety and security of all students, please try to keep afternoon transportation consistent. In the event that changes are needed, please do the following:

  • One-day change: Write a note and attach a copy of your driver's license. Requests can be delivered by the student, faxed to 678-344-4400, or emailed to Partee.Transportation@gcpsk12.org. Please call the school by 2:30 to verify that the request was received.
