Crazy Doc's rant and raves...
Quick hits:
- At the administrative meetings on Wednesday, part of our learning from the Math department was about word problems and giving students the tools to get past the reading and get to the Math. I have included a wonderful article we read and the slide deck from that presentation.
- Thank you for your focus as we travel from comprehensive to targeted school. The key here is the focus on students. We do not need a special title for that. You are doing great work, we will be working on cleaning up some areas and focusing in others as we prepare for the MAP.
- If you have something cool going on in class and would like either Misty or I to see, please send us an invite. We love to go and see all the things happening in your room.
Don't forget to keep track of your extra event attendance. Please remember everyone is expected to attend one PTA Meeting this year plus 2 additional events: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xru7fuenf01e2mb01wCoQhbrDw_zVEI_wImMFI7wA1g/edit?usp=sharing

Teacher Spotlight
Mr. Baker - though he is not here everyday he is helping to make an impact with some of our most challenging students.
Do you have a idea for a person in the spotlight? Please let me know.
FROM MISTY
I hope you enjoy the extra days off! I loved playing "Name that love song" with you all and will look for more fun competitions for us to do together in the future! :) I was actually hoping to play again today, but I'll take the snow day!
"Help for Billy" is a great read for helping your most challenging students. Geared more toward upper elementary kiddos. Our district behavior technicians are actually reading this book together and have found it very beneficial. I've linked in the amazon link below.
*If you'd like something shared in the March Bingham family newsletter, please let me know.
What are you needing support with? What information can I provide you in the "News & Notes" that might support you and your students? Email me your topics and I will do some finding. :)
Team work makes the dream work! #ONEteamONEdream
On-Going Reminders
- If you send a student to the focus room please do so with one of the tickets Casey has provided, that way she knows why they are there. If they do not have a ticket they will be sent back to class.
- Please follow the nurse's stoplight schedule.
- If you send a student to the office please make sure they have a pass.
- Please make sure you are not sending large printing jobs to the basic printers, please send these to the copiers.
- Lunch counts and attendance need to be entered by 9:30, or Terri will start calling.
Recycling
- Mrs. Earls will take this over this year. Please remember to have your bins out in the hallway on recycling day!
