Principal's Perspective
Wow! What an amazing week of weather to get outside and play at recess during this first week of November! Red faces and sweaty hair are always a good sign of fun times with our friends.
It has been such a joy to see so many of you in the building as parent conferences begin. We are so appreciative of your time and teaming with us to ensure your child learns at high levels. Next week, students will not have school on Thursday or Friday due to professional development and conferences.
Enjoy your weekend!
In partnership,
Mary Beth Riley

Lunch Visitors at MGES
We are opening up the opportunity for family members to join their child/children for lunch! For student safety and to accommodate our limited cafeteria seating, we are allowing our families to visit once a trimester. To be prepared for our guests and to check the Safe Visitor Registration of incoming visitors (this is required for every visitor) please make sure you register 24 hours in advance.
We allow 5 visitors per grade level lunch. Please use one slot per person signing up. Due to limited space, visitors will be sitting with their child(ren) at their classroom tables. You have the option of bringing in a home packed lunch or purchasing a lunch at school. No fast food will be allowed at this time. Lunch menus can be found here. The price for an adult lunch is $4.70.

First Lego League Explore
It's never too early to discover STEM. FIRST LEGO League Explore is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids ages 6 to 10 while exciting them through a brand they know and love − LEGO®
Guided by adult coaches and FIRST® Core Values, students build models using LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 and create Show Me posters to present what they learned. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge – to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination.
Join the WWS Team!
Westfield Washington Schools is committed to meeting the needs of each student. The best way to accomplish our mission and vision is to ensure that every position in the district is filled with a caring individual dedicated to ensuring each student learns and grows. Being part of a dynamic team, working to ensure each student achieves their full potential is inspiring and energizing. Applying and working as an Instructional Assistant (IA) in one of our schools is an excellent career choice for individuals who would like to make a profound difference in the lives of children. All nine schools currently have open IA positions. We offer full-time and part-time positions. Our IA positions allow parents to work during their students' school schedule - thus eliminating the need for child care - while directly contributing to the success of their student’s school. We operate at optimal levels when we are fully staffed with IAs.
If you are interested in joining our team, please contact your building principal or assistant principal or click here to apply. If you have any questions about these opportunities, please contact Stacy McGuire, Assistant Director of Human Resources, at mcguires@wws.k12.in.us.
