Math Non-negotiables
As we finalize our PCI math goal for the year, here are the non-negotiables for math instruction that will be looked for when visiting classrooms (by Admin and DOSL):
- Small Group instruction daily based on data
- Grades 1-5 at least 3x per week on Tenmarks
- Manipulative bags used for all students with an accommodation as stated on a 504 or IEP
- Calendar or Number Talks daily for students in k-2/ Numbertalks or Rams daily for students grades 3-5
- All manipulatives out and available for student use at all times - these should be visible and easily accessible
There is much more that you do to bring about high levels of math literacy and we say keep doing these things. Our goal is a common understanding and expectation for quality math instruction and learning. Following these non-negotiables help us to achieve this goal.
Please let Mrs. Metzger or Ms. Francisco know if you have any questions.
Interesting ways to make connections to learning during Morning Meeting.

Trantwood Yearbook Photos Wanted!
Photos can be loaded here.
Technology Corner
- Computer carts must be plugged directly into the wall. No extension cords can be used on the computer cart cords as it creates a fire hazard.
- Please do your best to not allow the Chromebook battery to die. A battery being left "depleted/uncharged" for a lengthily period of time could cause the Chromebook not to power back up.
