Sonny Day Community Center
Parents/guardians need to get a signed letter from the school to go to Sonny Day. Please contact Mrs. Jones, school counselor, at 317-532-6800 ext. 6817.
Fall Sports Update
7th grade basketball went 1-2 this past week. They lost to Brownsburg East and New Augusta in very close games, and defeated Brownsburg West. They have a 3-2 overall record.
8th grade basketball went 3-0 this past week defeating Brownsburg East, Brownsburg West and New Augusta. They remain undefeated for the season with a 5-0 record.
There is not game action next week. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Boys basketball will play at Tindley on Monday, November 26, then will begin the Marion County Tournament on November 29, as they host Lynhurst in the 2nd round.
Wrestling practice will begin on Tuesday, November 27, after school until 5 pm. You must have a physical on file in order to practice. If you have any questions about wrestling, please speak with Coach Andy St. Laurent.
Girls basketball tryouts will begin on Tuesday, December 4, after school until 5 pm. Be sure to have a physical on file with Mr. Treesh.
Track pre-season conditioning will be on Tuesdays every week. It will be after school until 4:30 pm. Athletes staying for conditioning will be expected to ride the activity bus home on those nights. You must have a physical on file with Mr. Treesh if you are planning to stay for conditioning. Questions may be directed to Mr. Treesh, Athletic Director, or Mr. Peckham, track coach.

Warren Township Winter Color Guard Clinic &Tryouts
Monday, November 26 & Wednesday, November 28 at 6:00-8:30 pm
If you love to perform for an audience, be a part of a winning team, and want to learn how to dance and toss a flag, rifle, and sabre...The Warren Township Winter Color Guard is for YOU!
WHY you should attend:
· Make new friends from around Warren Township.
· Be a part of one of the best color guard teams in the country! We are the reigning State Champs!
· We perform and travel around Indiana during the winter months and perform for many types of audiences.
HOW to Attend:
- Report to the Warren Central High School Warrior Dome (next to the football stadium). Registration begins at 5:30 pm.
- No experience is necessary! We will teach you everything you need to know!
- You should attend BOTH days
- Auditions are open to any Warren Township student (boys and girls) in Grades 5 thru 10

How important is attendance for student success?
We do understand that there are situations that arise where an absence can't be prevented. Please help communicate those reasons to the school by calling the main line at 532-6800 between 6:00-7:00 a.m. to report the absence.
Excused Absences Include:
1. Personal illness or injury (please drop off physician's notes to front desk)
2. Death in the immediate family
3. Attendance at a family funeral
4. Religious observances required by church officials
5. Serving as a page in the legislature
6. Court appearance/court detention
7. Working at polls
