Computer Science Education Week Recap
A big THANKS to Mr. Weber, Mr. Scornavacco, Ms. Schermann, Mrs. Tomlin as well as all of our student helpers in making Computer Science Education Week such a fun and educational experience for our freshman students during their IMC visit.
THE IMC IS BOOKED FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
Read an Abe, Win an Abe Winners!
Congratulations to the Aniyah Allen Benson and Trinity Shandrow who were "Read an Abe, Win an Abe" winners for the months of October and November! Aniyah read Born a Crime by Trevor Noah and Trinity read Paper Girls by Brian Vaughan.
First Semester Textbook Collection
*If your class is a year long class, your books DO NOT need to be returned or renewed. *If you have a classroom set of textbooks and will be teaching that class again, your books DO NOT need to be returned.
For teachers of semester long classes:
- Please start reminding your students that they will need to return their books on the day of the final. December graduates and students who are exempt from finals need to return their textbooks to the IMC before they leave.
- The day of the final, please send students who do not have their books back to their locker to get it before the exam period begins.
- Have your students put all textbooks on an empty overhead cart or book cart. Please include any books left in your room, such as books left on the counter or under desks. If you don't have a cart, you can borrow one from the IMC or simply stack the books on the floor in the hallway.
- Place the cart in the hallway outside your classroom.
- Inform any student who does not return their textbook at exam time that they are responsible for returning the textbook to the IMC before they leave for winter break.
The IMC will be OPEN before and after school on final exam days, but will be CLOSED during final exam hours for those classes who are taking final exams in the IMC as well as the collection and check in of semester-long textbooks.
The printing stations will still be available to students who need to print. Please send students with a pass to the IMC.
Let me know if you have any questions. I appreciate your help!
