This class focuses on learning how to use the tools in Photoshop as a graphic artist or photographer would to create their art. We learn how to combine images to make greeting cards and billboard ads. We learn how to make impossible pictures that look real and how to use Photoshop as a tool to make a photo better by adjusting the light or color and removing distortion or covering up flaws. If Ansel Adams were alive today, he would use Photoshop to change his color prints into dramatic black and white photos rather than spending hours in the darkroom. Ironically, we take some of his iconic black and white photos and use Photoshop to put the color back in.

We also do a short unit on 3D printing. Students learn the basics of this new technology to design a key tab project and then we print the projects out.
