Attendance
Per the Virginia Department of Education, attendance is required to be taken each day, Monday through Friday. Students are expected to attend their Zoom sessions for each class period when synchronous sessions are scheduled Tuesday through Friday. Attendance will be measured through a variety of meaningful interactions, designed to track student engagement with each class period.

There is a lot of information from the counseling office to help your child navigate high school and prepare for the future ahead. There are also specific pages for the Classes of 2021/2022 and also the Class of 2023/2024.
Student schedules have been released on PowerSchool. Due to scheduling constraints from the anticipated eventual return to a hybrid schedule, approved schedule change requests will be extremely limited this school year. If you see a problem with your child's schedule, we would ask that you complete this Google form for the counselor: https://forms.gle/M9FGC2sL5NMvFsky5
Attention Athletes!
We have been cleared to begin out of season workouts on September 14th. Student athletes must be registered in order to participate in these workouts AND have a current physical on file.

Coaches will be trained on proper safety procedures and an athletic health plan will be followed to ensure the safety of students and staff. Student athletes are reminded that in order to be eligible for athletic participation, they must be enrolled in a full course load for semester 1.
Physicals can be dropped off in the Main Office, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM.

If you need a Wifi hotspot, they are available! Please email it.support@mpark.net to arrange a pick up at MPHS.
Parent Reminders:

- Become familiar with using the PowerSchool Parent Portal: https://www.mpark.net/parents/powerschool-for-parents . This is where your child's grades will be posted. Please make sure you have an accurate email address entered as this will be the primary means of communication between you and the school.
Save the Date: Back to School Night September 17!
MPHS is planning on hosting a virtual Back to School Night on Thursday, September 17, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Parents can follow their child's bell schedule. We will provide information on how to access the Zoom links for each class for this event. Please be sure that you follow the Canvas instructions below on how to access your child's Canvas. That will make accessing Back to School Night much easier.
