Hello to our Northpoint Families,
This past Friday our Northpoint PTO hosted our annual Fun Run. It was a wonderful event that brought us together as a school community for a good cause. This is our PTO’s only fundraising event of the year. Students and staff wore their house colors as they completed an activity-filled course around the school grounds. Kids concluded their laps with applause from our families, music, silly string and a treat from our PTO. Our students created many memories during this fun, all-school experience.
Please be looking for information from your child’s teacher by the end of this week regarding conferences to be held in the month of October. We will have options for WebEx or in-person conferences. We hope all parents can join us for a conversation and partner with our staff as we share together student’s Learner Profiles and identify next steps in learning.
As a reminder, there is no school for students during fall break, October 18-22. School will resume on Monday, October 25.
Finally, this is Homecoming week at Spring Lake Park High School and spirit week across the district. We’ve enjoyed Lumber Jack and Jill day, “Houses” day in which we wore our personal house color with pride, and today was “dress down” day. We’ll round out the week with mixed-up patterns tomorrow. And, on Friday, we will show our Panther Pride as we encourage everyone to wear their SLP gear or school colors.
Go Panthers!

Optional COVID-19 tests available at school
Students and staff who choose can now pick up a test (saliva test) in their building's health office on any school day. Follow the directions to complete the test at home, then return the test to the health office the following school day. The health office will submit the test for processing. In addition, the Minnesota Department of Health has information on a variety of COVID-19 testing locations. Anyone in the process of being tested for COVID-19 due to potential exposure or symptoms should stay home until all related test results are received. If away from school for testing, communicate with the school's nurse and consult with them before returning to school.

To be added to our email list for receiving information and opportunities from PTO please sign up here.
Opportunities to volunteer will also be posted on our Facebook page.
