The History of the Cell

The Discovery of Cells

The discovery of cells was made by Robert Hooke and many other scientists. Robert Hooke observed a cork cell through a microscope that only displayed an image that was 10x greater than what it actually is. Other scientists made improvements to the microscope and were able to discover more important cells. After the invention of the microscope, many other scientists were interested in this theory and kept discovering and observing many more new cells.
