SEPTA Board Updates
- It is Teacher Appreciation Week! Has there ever been a year to appreciate teachers more than this year? A BIG Thank You to teachers and staff! We know its been a challenging time figuring out new and creative ways to teach. We thank you for all of the work that you have been doing for our children!
- Next fall we will be reserving the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8pm for our meetings. The first meeting will be September 8th. Mark your calendars now!
- The SEPTA board is exploring a different layout for next year’s calendar. Changes include hosting a speaker quarterly instead of monthly and a “Cafe” style discussion on the other months. We will also work on making sure all of our meetings will have a virtual connection. If you have ideas for speakers or topics that you would like to hear about or discuss, please send an e-mail to septaec@gmail.com.
- Emails were sent to all households from the ECASD, please make sure that you take the survey from the ECASD School Board. They want to know your thoughts! This is a great time to let them know the importance of Special Education!
- If you are on Facebook, check out the “ECASD Special Education” page, the “Better Together” group, the “S.N.A.P.S EC” Group, and the new “Eau Claire Special Needs Network” Group for on-line support and ideas. Each of the moderators do a great job of supporting the Special Needs Community and hopefully one will be right for you! Each of these sites are filled with ideas to do at home.
- Next Year’s Resource Fair will be on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. If you would like to help with planning next year, watch for information next fall! We would love your help!
We hope that you can join us this May.
If not, have a wonderful summer and hope to see you next fall!
Stay well,
Beth Ivankovic, Pete Caraher, Heather Cole, and Kellly Hendrickson
